Dragon Age: Origins arrived a couple days ago. I still have yet to play; hopefully I'll be able to when I get home from work tonight. I got it because of the recommendation sent to me via Amazon.com and after watching the vids and checking out the website [link] I decided to order it for the PS3. The action looks good and plays similar to World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XII. You make your own character, pick the gender, class, race, and go from there.

Before I went to bed last night, I was reading the strategy guide to give myself a little heads up on the game-play and found something a little interesting (and I am still chuckling about it). I already knew from the website's spoiler vids depending on how well you interact with four particular NPCs, you get to have a romance and quite possibly sleep with one of them. If your character is male, you get to sleep with Leliana or Morrigan, and if your character is female you get to sleep with one of the male NPCs, Zevran (he's an elf). That was all I knew from the site. There is also one other male NPC named Alistair, which I found out from the strategy guide if your character is a human female, you can sleep with him.

So as I was reading the guide last night, I flipped over to the "Romance" section (that's when I found out Alistair was one of the romance candidates), and read:

Alistair (female pc only), Leliana (female or male pc), Morrigan (male pc only), Zevran (female or male pc)

I know I stared at that line for quite a while, and then I started laughing. I had to stop myself because it was close to midnight and my parents were asleep. There was no way I could explain this to them--they are not very open-minded people.

So now I have a bit of a dilemma: do I make a female character and hope to get lucky with one of the guys, or do I make a male character and hope to get some yaoi action with the elf?
